Tile - Material Handler Technician

Position: TILE - MATERIAL HANDLER TECHNICIAN - DAYS

** Receiving*
* + Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive materials into the plant and prepare for stocking.

+ Will work with the receiving clerk and other departments to ensure all shipments are off loaded in a timely manner.

+ Maintains any paper work obtained from the freight lines and turns into the appropriate person.

+ Quantity verification of Bill of Ladings that you sign for from trucks received.

+ Responsible for ensuring items received are cataloged in the designated areas, per 5S and visual workplace standards.

** Cleaning*
* + Operates various powered floor scrubbers to maintain a reasonably clean floor.

+ Checks equipment to make sure it is operating at peak efficiency.

+ Follows safety guidelines and safe operating parameters set forth by equipment manufacturer.

** General*
* + Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

+ Maintains daily sign off sheet for all equipment operated

+ Follows standard operating and safety procedures.

+ Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

+ Performs other related duties as required.

Core Competencies include good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner. Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
