Sorting Utility Operator

Dal‑Tile is a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States.

Job Duties:

• Operate various powered industrial trucks to receive materials into the plant and prepare for stocking.
• Work with the receiving clerk and other departments to ensure all shipments are off‑loaded in a timely manner.
• Maintain any paperwork obtained from the freight lines and turn it into the appropriate person.
• Verify quantity of Bill of Ladings that you sign for from trucks received.
• Ensure items received are cataloged in the designated areas, per 5S and visual workplace standards.

• Operate various powered floor scrubbers to maintain a reasonably clean floor.
• Check equipment to make sure it is operating at peak efficiency.
• Follow safety guidelines and safe operating parameters set forth by the equipment manufacturer.

• Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor.
• Maintain daily sign‑off sheet for all equipment operated.
• Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keep area safe, clean and organized.
• Perform other related duties as required.
