Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support clinic operations and provide direct patient care in a fast‑paced outpatient setting. This role includes lab draws, urine dipstick testing, point‑of‑care testing for flu, strep, and COVID, as well as assisting with assessments, documentation, patient education, and care coordination. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, has strong phlebotomy skills, and can manage a patient volume of approximately 3–5 patients per day.
- Perform lab draws, urine dipstick testing, and point‑of‑care testing for flu, strep, and COVID.
- Assist physicians with the evaluation and management of patients presenting to the clinic.
- Conduct patient assessments and enter data accurately into the electronic medical record.
- Support development of care plans and coordination of care.
- Assist with physician orders, order follow‑up, medication refills, and patient/family education.
- Identify preventive screening opportunities and clinical issues for review.
- Notify patients of test results as directed.
- Set up patients for procedures and exams, and obtain vital signs.
- Maintain exam room supplies and ensure clinical areas are organized and stocked.
- Coordinate with the front office team on scheduling, meetings, and patient flow.
- Communicate effectively with providers and other departments to resolve issues.
- Utilize the EMR/EHR system for documentation and workflow support.
- Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned by clinic providers.
- Current LPN licensure in the appropriate state.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinic or physician office setting.
- Strong phlebotomy skills required.
- Strong front office experience, including phones, scheduling, and greeting patients.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in a busy clinic environment.
- Spanish‑speaking ability is a plus, but not required.
- 36 hours per week.
- Must be able to work within clinic hours.
