Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Support neonatal care and coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure safe patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor fetal heart rates and assess maternal and fetal well-being during labor.
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including C-sections, vacuum, and forceps-assisted births.
• Manage postpartum recovery and transition of both mother and newborn.
• Administer medications and conduct necessary assessments in urgent OB situations such as shoulder dystocia or hemorrhages.
• Document patient progress accurately in Meditech and CPN systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• Certified in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring training.
• Demonstrate proficiency in fetal monitoring, OB emergencies, and neonatal assessments.
• Experience with inductions and OB procedures such as circumcisions and intrauterine monitoring.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
