Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Dickson, TN | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | 3 shifts per week | 8-Week Assignment | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care on an LDRP unit including labor support, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care for mothers and newborns
• Perform newborn assessment and transition care, including 1:1 monitoring until the newborn is stable
• Assist with or support procedures including C-sections, intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries, and circumcisions
• Manage obstetric emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Administer and monitor inductions using Pitocin and Cervidil; perform continuous fetal monitoring
• Conduct daily safety and patient experience rounding on all patients; document using Meditech and CPN systems

• Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, including the ability to labor and recover the mother and receive and transition the newborn
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Fetal Monitoring training/certification required
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled

• Experience managing obstetric emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Familiarity with CPN Central monitoring systems and Meditech documentation
• Experience in LDRP settings encompassing labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn/NICU intermediate care
• Comfort working in a small, high-acuity unit without unit secretaries or patient care technicians
