Travel RN – Labor & Delivery

Dickson, TN | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time, 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays | Onsite

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including laboring, recovering the mother, and receiving and transitioning the newborn with full assessment
• Manage patient ratios of 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections; couplet care at 1:3; newborns 1:1 until stable; and NICU intermediate care at 1:3
• Assist with and support procedures including C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries
• Operate unit equipment including CPN central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatology, bili-blankets, and PCA pumps
• Document accurately using Meditech and CPN documentation systems
• Perform daily patient rounding and SAFETY rounding in accordance with patient experience requirements; charge experience is required

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Charge nurse experience required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Fetal monitoring training/certification required
• Experience with inductions including Pitocin and Cervidil
• Pink and/or brown scrubs required per infant security policy

• Experience managing OB emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Familiarity with LDRP unit settings encompassing labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn/NICU intermediate care
• Cross-training or experience floating between LDRP and NICU environments
