Role Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to sell the company's industry‑leading pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers, while maintaining a customer‑focused service to grow the business.
As the face of the national brand in your local community, you will protect customers' homes and families by assessing their pest needs and recommending effective solutions.
Responsibilities- Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, and pest entries, and sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance for residential customers.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and technicians to maximize opportunities.
- Partner with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams, develop proposals for current customers, and recommend additional services.
- Complete a home diagram using the Sales CRM to ensure a clear understanding of the customer's property and potential challenges.
- Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
- Provide expert knowledge during new service installations to ensure satisfactory completion.
- Record daily activities and sales performance using the company sales CRM.
- Move up to 10 lbs regularly and 11–20 lbs frequently while lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning objects.
- Move around regularly, including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling on stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and narrow or slippery surfaces.
- Safely handle various pests (spiders, flies, mosquitoes, rodents, etc.) and work in confined spaces like basements, crawl spaces, and attics.
- Operate a motor vehicle safely and maintain its cleanliness.
- Wear personal protective equipment, including OSHA‑compliant respirators, and work in confined spaces and narrow aisles as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license from your current state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- Strong social, customer service, and communication skills; prior sales or pest technician experience is highly desirable.
- Prefer at least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
- Ready to travel up to 100 % of the time within the assigned territory.
