Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controller) using a handheld device or laptop.
• Design and redesign program and software (PLCs, operator panels, etc).
• Format hard drives, install to computers (Computer Setup) and install PC applications.
• Installs, maintains or repairs equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electrical energy in a manufacturing environment.
• Locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment using blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications.
• Work standard computations related to load requirements of wiring and/or electrical equipment.
• Continuously review the respective area for ideas that will drive productivity and reduce costs, and professionally present solutions for improvement.
• Plan, submit, and execute process improvements.
• Use a variety of electrician tools, including measuring and testing instruments.
• Inform supervisor of operational status of equipment and notify of any problem areas.
• Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Work at heights that require fall protection.

• Basic knowledge of serial port communication systems, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and process control instrumentation devices (thermocouples, pressure switches, etc).
• Basic knowledge of servomotors and drive units.
