Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician position at Walmart.

Support and oversee repair of Walmart facilities refrigeration HVAC equipment as part of the HVAC/Refrigeration team using commercial HVAC skills and tools. Perform maintenance tasks, manage work orders, respond to emergency calls, inspect and diagnose equipment, ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, lift up to 75 pounds, and work at heights.

• 2+ years commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with clean driving record; able to pass MVR report
• Minimum of 18 years old;
  High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years mechanical/maintenance experience OR 4 years experience

• Completion of a 2‑year HVAC/R program
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment using hand, digital, and power tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive and document repair work orders.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety training to operate equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations in accordance with Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights.

• Hourly wages range $23.00 – $45.00, plus performance‑based bonus incentives and premiums.
• Eligible for overtime premiums and additional hourly premiums on a schedule or specific work.
