Dal‑Tile

is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a material handler we need someone that is experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials. Primary Objective

Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.

Major Function and Scope
  • Pull/assemble customer orders
  • Check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Perform inventory stock checks
  • Restock and label vendor product
  • Maintain displays (tools, caulk, etc.)
  • Move, store, and replenish material
  • Conduct daily cycle counts
  • Receive and unload inbound material
  • Process inbound shipments
  • Stock material
  • Process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims
  • Operate forklift equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management
  • Perform other related duties as required
Experience and Knowledge Required
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Certified Sit‑Down Forklift Operator
  • 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience
  • Minimum of 6 months of previous stand‑up forklift or order picker equipment experience
  • No experience required for pallet jack

  • Ability to understand and speak basic English
  • Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner
  • Must be Dal‑Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks
Other Pertinent Job Information

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The average number of picks per hour is 25 and the average weight is between 40‑70 lbs with heavier picks (50‑70 lbs) accounting for 65% of the work shift and lighter weight items (20‑40 lbs) accounting for 35% of the work shift.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, occasional fumes or airborne particles, a wide range of temperatures, and a loud noise level.
