Trainer – Tile Distribution Team

Dal‑Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Trainer to join our Tile Distribution team, responsible for creating training materials and coaching team members on powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment and safety.

• Provide on‑job training (OJT) to new hires and tenured employees.
• Become a subject‑matter expert (SME) on all operational and safety processes and procedures.
• Observe, coach, and evaluate employees on the warehouse floor.
• Perform warehouse tasks such as equipment operation and material handling as needed.
• Assess prospective candidates on equipment to ensure skill knowledge.
• Work flexible shifts and assist RDC/PDC facilities as required.
• Tailor training materials and provide direction to trainees.
• Assess, coach, train, and certify team members on powered industrial equipment and safety.
• Lead and participate in OJT training in a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Collaborate with Team Leads, Supervisors, Management, and HR to identify individual training needs.
• Develop teaching aids based on workforce needs.
• Oversee and facilitate testing and evaluation procedures for training completion.
• Conduct training sessions covering new employee orientation, OJT use of RDTs and software, customer service, health and safety practices, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading, and retraining.
• Report progress of employees under training.
• Communicate clearly with management via e‑mail, verbal, or other means.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of distribution/warehouse experience.
• Preferable experience at Dal‑Tile distribution/warehouse with familiarity in standard concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
