We're offering an exciting Level 3 Installation & Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship based at our Harwell Site in Oxfordshire, giving you the opportunity to gain industry‑recognised qualifications, practical experience, and expert mentorship while earning a salary.
What Is the Apprenticeship?This Government‑approved Level 3 Installation & Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship provides the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to become a qualified electrician within an industrial environment. The programme includes:
- Day release study at Abingdon & Witney College
- Practical, on‑the‑job training at the Harwell Site
- Mentoring from experienced electrical engineers and technicians
- Training in a highly regulated environment where safety is paramount
- On successful completion, you'll achieve a recognised Level 3 qualification and be on the pathway to becoming a fully qualified Installation & Maintenance Electrician.
NRS Harwell A Site, Harwell Campus, OX11 0DF
Working HoursMonday to Thursday, 7:30 – 16:00
Friday 7:30 – 11:40 (45‑minute unpaid lunch)
This is your opportunity to gain real‑world experience while contributing to one of the UK's most important environmental restoration missions.

- Learn to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Follow strict health, safety, and compliance procedures always
We're seeking motivated individuals with a genuine interest in electrical engineering and practical work.
- Be 18 or older by 3 August 2026
- Have GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in Maths and English
- Ideally have a Science or Technical subject at Grade 4/C or above
We're also looking for:
- A strong interest in electrical systems and practical problem‑solving
- Good attention to detail
- A safety‑first mindset
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn in a highly regulated industrial environment
Starting at £19,927 per year – with pay increases as you progress.
