We are hiring a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our busy, close-knit team at a highly rated, long-established independent specialist in Didcot

- Fair Pay: £35,000 – £40,000 per year (flat basic salary tailored to your experience and qualifications).
- Guaranteed Weekends Off:
Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30

Working in our Didcot workshop, you will:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing
, safety health checks, and general mechanical maintenance across a wide variety of makes and models. - Use up-to-date diagnostic tools and computer scanners to efficiently troubleshoot and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete thorough maintenance, diagnostic, and preparation work, ensuring consistently high "first-time fix" quality standards.
- Work productively alongside a skilled team of motor mechanics to maintain a smooth and efficient workshop flow.
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (
NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent time-served experience). - Experience: A proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician
, Car Mechanic
, or Service Technician in a professional workshop environment. - Key Strengths: A reliable, self-motivated team player with great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and your own tools.
- Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential. Having an active MOT Tester licence is a distinct advantage!
Our workshop facility is located in Didcot and is ideally situated for a quick and straightforward daily commute for anyone travelling from Abingdon, Wantage, Wallingford, Oxford, Reading, High Wycombe, and the surrounding Oxfordshire areas.
