  • Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year basic (Tailored directly to your experience and qualification level).

Your Role

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Didcot workshop, you will:

  • Carry out routine vehicle servicing
    , safety health checks, and general mechanical maintenance across a wide variety of makes and models.
  • Utilize up-to-date diagnostic tools and computer scanners to systematically troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Complete thorough maintenance & diagnostic work
    , ensuring consistently high "first-time fix" quality standards.
  • Work productively alongside a skilled team of motor mechanics to maintain a smooth and efficient workshop flow.
What You Need
  • Qualifications &

    Experience:

    NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with a proven track record in a professional workshop setting. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
  • Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential.
    An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
  • Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools to manage daily repair tasks effectively. Reliable, self-motivated team player with great attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
