The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and Atkins Realis located in Kincardine, Ontario. It is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of six reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor.
This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.
Working with the Series Training Manager, the Project Coordinator – Series Training will play a pivotal role in the overall success of the FCFR project by working with the construction teams to analyze contract work packages and converting requirements into training programs; and leading the scheduling and organizing of training activities for the Bruce Power FCFR Series execution.
Responsibilities- Review work instructions, inspection and test plans, technical specifications, drawings and operation and maintenance manuals to support training development per SAT standards and execution.
- Coordinate the training analysis, design, development, and evaluation phases of the training development life cycle for both building trade and quality control training programs.
- Collect and integrate OPEX and Lessons Learned from previous refurbishment campaigns.
- Liaise with key project stakeholders to develop detailed training execution plans encompassing all labour, equipment, material and schedule requirements.
- Coordinate all series training readiness activities to ensure the successful and timely launch of training programs.
- Provide boots on the ground coordination and technical support for all active series training scopes.
- Track and monitor progress of active series training scopes and interface with the planning group to ensure timely and accurate schedule reporting.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data collected during training to produce KPIs to measure trainee proficiency and training effectiveness.
- Support series execution leads with procedure redlines based on data and observations collected during active series training scopes.
- Maintain training records in the learning management systems.
- Report on training outcomes and provide feedback to program participants and management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Post‑secondary school education in Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Industrial construction experience in a coordination role.
- Knowledge of construction industry best practices for Safety, Quality, Work Planning and Project Controls.
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Project.
- Experience with database management and programming an asset.
- Experience with Canva considered an asset.
- Experience with 3D printing considered an asset.
- Good communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Salary range: $74,000 - $85,000
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
