Job Summary

The Maintenance Associate performs all aspects of troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electromechanical systems as well as general building maintenance support in the fulfillment center environment.

Essential Functions

  • Electrical knowledge: 24V DC, 110V, 120V, 220V, 480V
  • Knowledge of motors and motor controls
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, welding, and forklift operation
  • Ability to read a voltage meter
  • Complete all work orders and preventive maintenance as assigned
  • Capability to use and navigate maintenance management programs (SAP, UpKeep, etc.)
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge and aptitude
  • Follow proper safety guidelines including point‑of‑work risk assessment and lockout/tagout
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install parts on machines and equipment
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Knowledge and proper use of hand and power tools
  • Perform visual inspections and maintenance of production equipment
  • May initiate purchase order for parts and machines
  • Notify department manager of unusual situations
  • Follow safety and security rules and keep work area clean and orderly
  • Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and wear all required PPE in designated areas
  • Pay attention to detail in all performed activities
Additional Functions

In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform additional tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • Post‑high‑school mechanical or building trades education, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Seven (7)+ years of experience in building trades and/or machine repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
  • Seven (7)+ years of experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling equipment, conveyor systems, and automated equipment
Working Conditions

Material and equipment directly used: general warehouse equipment, general office equipment (MS Office, Shipping, and proprietary inventory management software).

Physical activities:
Operate material handling equipment and machinery; lift and carry up to 75 pounds at times; continuous, moderate or occasional heavy activity; use of hands; stoop, bend, or crawl; climbing steps/ladders; standing, walking, sitting.

Environment:
The building’s primary work area consists of pallet storage racking, roller storage and small item storage shelving. Powered conveyor systems are used for transportation of products. Pallet jacks and forklifts are used for palletized products. Some positions require use of safety equipment, which is provided as needed.

The position requires no travel. Flexibility to work all assigned schedules and overtime is required based on business needs. On‑call schedules may apply.

Competitive compensation range: $25.05 - $32.55 per hour. The final offer may exceed this range based on location, experience, and skills.
