Operations Associate - DC Metro Area

Job Summary

The Operations Associate with The Restaurant Store assists the Product Lifecycle Manager with all aspects of daily material handling in a retail branch location. The associate achieves a variety of operational goals through effective receiving, stocking, and presentation strategies that align with the goals of our sales, merchandising, order fulfillment, and inventory teams. This is a full‑time position working 5, 8‑hour shifts per week.

Shift time is currently 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM.

• Execute efficient receiving and put‑away of incoming stock using pallet jacks, carts, and/or powered equipment.
• Ensure a high level of organization and neatness while completing daily restocking tasks.
• Communicate effectively with the Merchandising and Inventory teams to sufficiently stock products in correct merchandising locations within the branch.
• Communicate effectively with the Product Lifecycle Manager to address any operational issues.
• Rotate stock (FIFO) and pull damaged and expired products as needed.
• Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store.

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours per day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Demonstrated knowledge of our business model and a strong work ethic.
• Basic customer service skills and ability to function well with coworkers.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to think critically.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Business proficiency in English is required.
