Overview
Wealth Enhancement is an independent wealth management firm that offers personalized financial planning. We are seeking a Financial Advisor to join our Long Island office in New York as part of an advisory team. The role involves managing client relationships, facilitating the financial planning process, and helping clients achieve their financial goals. Expected pay ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 annually, including a base salary and variable compensation.
The position requires a 4‑year degree and advanced credentials such as CFP, CPA, or MBA, plus Series7 and 66 licenses and 4+ years of wealth‑management experience.
- Manage client relationships and assist senior advisors with complex clients under the WEG planning‑based standard of identity.
- Facilitate the financial planning process.
- Discover a prospect or client’s values, goals and objectives.
- Understand their current financial situation.
- Engage them in the financial planning process.
- Prepare and conduct annual reviews, including planning and investment topics.
- Source and close prospective clients.
- Proactively follow up with clients who have not implemented the financial plan.
- Close leads provided by WEG channels such as Marketing and CRP.
- Create opportunities within your network.
- Drive referrals from existing clients.
- Manage client relationships and client service as needed.
- Assist the Financial Advisor during client meetings and with follow‑ups.
- Take meeting notes and promptly enter them into the CRM.
- Present financial advice or plan to clients with the Financial Advisor.
- Meet with clients to obtain additional planning information or to clarify/confirm information provided.
- Analyze client’s current investments and insurance policies.
- Place trades and manage account activities.
- Participate in Wealth Enhancement Group trainings, educational events, coaching programs, and be proficient with advisor/client‑facing technology.
- Adhere to the Wealth Enhancement Group’s Corporate Communication Strategy and maintain good compliance standing.
- 4‑year degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Advanced designation required (CFP, CPA, MBA, etc.).
- Series 7 and 66 licenses (BD/RIA).
- Insurance licenses.
- Minimum 4 years of experience within the wealth‑management industry.
- Ability to source and convert prospects to clients and provide high‑level planning‑oriented service.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Engagement in WEG, broader community, and active participation in the financial‑planning community.
- Training and professional development.
