Delivery Driver​/FL

Basalite Building Products, LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. Product lines include structural block, interlocking paving stones, engineered wall systems, retaining walls, ornamental and garden products, and a full range of sack goods. Under the supervision of the Assistant Plant Manager, this position is responsible for driving trucks to pick-up and deliver products and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

General

• Fills out log books if needed if E-Log stops functioning, worksheets and reports.
• Secures loads with ropes, straps, brick boards and tarps.
• Determines types of equipment to be used for jobs.
• Transports products throughout Northern California to customers, stores, yards and jobsites.
• Loads and unloads trucks as needed with piggyback forklift.
• Maintains and fuels trucks and performs inspections on equipment.
• Maintains work area according to company standards for cleanliness.
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
• Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
• Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

• Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Requires on-the-job training to perform the duties of the job.
• Ability to operate various types forklifts and drive a variety of trucks including doubles, T & T semi’s.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification within two weeks with Basalite.
• Must have a valid California Class A driver’s license and a good driving record, and be certified to operate a forklift.
• Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

• Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reach with hands and arms.
• Lifting up-to 100 pounds.
• Predictable and Regular attendance is required

• Work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions.
• Plant environment with loud noise, moving machinery, dusty, dirty.
• Outdoor weather conditions.
• Extreme temperatures.
• Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
