Heavy Equipment Mechanic

The Heavy Equipment
Field Mechanic will be responsible for traveling to our job sites and performing diagnostics and repairs on our heavy equipment and fleet trucks. The preferred applicant will have vast experience in the industry, able to do about anything needed to fix all aspects of equipment such as excavators, dozers, scrappers, and pavers. We will provide a service truck and specialized tools.
Must have your own basic tools.
Pay: DOE
Position Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair heavy equipment
- Travel to job sites
- Perform engine repairs and maintenance
- Inspect, maintain, and repair transmission systems
- Make necessary repairs to hydraulic and air brakes
- Repair and maintain HVAC systems
- Make electrical repairs
- Perform oil changes as needed
- Maintain a clean work area, tools, and equipment
Position
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment mechanic work
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to manage a schedule and organize time
- Experience with heavy diesel repair and maintenance
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical repairs
- Knowledge of fuel systems; both diesel and gas
- Ability to perform electrical diagnostics using a scanner
- Safety Inspection certified(Preferred)
- Paid based on experience.
License/Certification
- Driver's License (Required)
- Diesel Mechanic Certification or equivalent experience
