Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at Webster County Middle School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic success. This full-time position requires a commitment to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of middle school students, ensuring they are equipped with the skills necessary for their future educational journeys.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and classroom participation.
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and positive behavior.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and community members to support student learning and address any challenges.
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience.
• Provide individualized support and intervention for students who require additional assistance.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum developments.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other essential documentation.
• Contribute to the school community through participation in meetings, committees, and extracurricular activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for middle school education in the state of Kentucky.
• Strong understanding of middle school pedagogy and child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning styles and needs of students.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
