Senior Project Engineer (Civil Engineer IV)

Position Overview:

This position is accountable for supervising the construction of specially assigned highway construction projects within a specified geographical area of the district.

Essential Functions:

Supervises projects to ensure they are constructed according to plans and specifications. Completes accurate and timely documentation of all work. Trains, motivates, and evaluates subordinate personnel. Supervises time considerations on projects. Oversees the equipment that is utilized by staff. Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Perform all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois OR current registration as a Licensed Structural Engineer in the state of Illinois. Four years of experience in civil engineering.
