Expected pay for this position is $23.35 - $27.48/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
OverviewThis job is located in Dixon, IL.
Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm
Lead PAS Position is to support the Main Hospital OSF Saint Katharine Medical Center. Duties will include on call duties and coverage at times for Outpatient & ED Registration (ED Registration runs 24/7). This SKMC Lead will work collaboratively with the other PAS Leads in the Dixon region to coordinate coverage and support the PAS department as a whole.
Position SummaryThe Patient Access Lead functions as a team resource on highly complex issues and problem resolution. They will serve as a dedicated resource for multiple functional areas and determine the appropriate outside resources needed to support escalation. This position has a significant understanding of the revenue cycle and the importance of evaluating and securing all appropriate financial resources for patients to maximize reimbursement.
The Patient Access Lead ensures that each patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record. Excellent patient service skills are expected to create an exceptional first impression of OSF's services to the patients and families.
Education:
High School/GED. Other
Licenses/Certifications:
Required to complete all role specific revenue cycle training and certification within 12 months.
Experience:
1 year experience in a healthcare or public health setting with one of the following: patient registration, patient scheduling, insurance benefits, financial assistance programs, or other community based background. 1 year experience with customer service/relations. Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare related field.
Experience:
Advanced knowledge of CPT4, ICD9/10, HCPCS, and modifiers. Knowledge of medical terminology. Licensure/
Certifications:
HFMA CRCR certification
