Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Maintenance Technician to join our team, serving the entire district. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems and peripherals to ensure optimal performance and reliability across all district facilities. This full-time position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about technology and providing excellent support to staff and students.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on computers, printers, and other related equipment to ensure functionality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and applications as needed.
- Collaborate with IT staff to support network infrastructure and ensure seamless connectivity across all locations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory of parts and equipment.
- Assist in the setup and deployment of new technology for classrooms and administrative offices.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and students on various software applications and systems.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in computer maintenance and support.
- Participate in district-wide technology initiatives and projects as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures related to technology use and maintenance.
- High School diploma
- Proven experience in computer maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in a professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Familiarity with network systems, including LAN/WAN configurations and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, students, and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to various district locations as needed.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
