Welder/Fabricator – Truck Equipment

Our customer in Dixon, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Welder/Fabricator – Truck Equipment to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Welder/Fabricator – Truck Equipment, you will be responsible for MIG welding and fabrication of dump body components and truck equipment.

• Perform MIG welding (hard wire and flux core) on carbon and stainless steel
• Fabricate dump body components and truck equipment using blueprints and drawings
• Layout, fit, and assemble welded parts and structures
• Read and follow fabrication and welding prints
• Operate fabrication tools such as plasma cutters, torches, and grinders
• Inspect your work to ensure quality and accuracy
• Complete finishing work as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• 2+ years of MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting
• Experience welding carbon steel using hard wire and/or flux core
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Experience with layout, fitting, and basic fabrication tasks
• Familiarity with common shop tools and equipment
• Ability to pass an in-house weld test
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a shop environment
• Strong attention to detail
• High school diploma or GED

Starting at $22.00–$26.75/hour.

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday from 5:30am – 4:00pm or Tuesday – Friday from 5:30am – 4:00pm.
