Assemble, test, and pack components that are supplied to a variety of automotive manufacturers as well as internal customers. Providing customer satisfaction through on-time delivery, quality, and continuous improvement is essential. Provide operator support as needed throughout Dixon’s product lines, ensuring optimal deployment of our resources. Customer satisfaction will be achieved through teamwork and safety.
2nd shift position, core hours are Monday-Friday 3:15 pm to 11:30 pm, MUST be able to work overtime during the week and Saturday's. Sundays are Voluntary.
Starting pay is $20.77 per hour
After 4 months' pay is $22.12 per hour
2nd shift Premium is 50 cents per hour.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManufacture, assemble, test and pack products following documented procedures. Inspect components and finished assemblies both visually and mechanically (using gages, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices). Perform “first-piece” approval process following documented procedures. Actively participate in team activities, such as Kaizen and other manufacturing teams. Support and follow Borg Warner's health, safety, and environment practices and policies. Support and practice “World Class” manufacturing techniques (Visual Factory, JIT, etc).
Perform routine preventive maintenance activities. Continually improve production thru put. Develop competencies and move throughout Dixon’s product lines as needed, ensuring optimal deployment of our resources. Assist in improving first time quality (PPM) and reducing production scrap. Assume process ownership through the use of SPC, check sheets, etc. Assist in training of new production personnel. Support and follow Borg Warner's quality policies and practices.
Good attendance on the job is essential. Maintain work area in orderly condition with respect to tools, equipment and personal belongings. Use of required PPE; following safety rules and procedures and training others; compliance with plant code of conduct. Attendance at safety and health training sessions. Housekeeping practice. (5s Standards) Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Good safety and attendance record.
- Basic math skills (calculate and use statistical data).
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to function and actively participate in a team-oriented environment.
- PC literacy.
- Problem solving skills
