CDL Driver

Our client in Dixon, Illinois is seeking skilled Local CDL Drivers to join their team. As a CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to designated destinations. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring the timely delivery of products and contributing to our company’s reputation for reliability. Must hold a valid Manual CDL – A to apply.

• Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and minimizing downtime.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, including hours-of-service requirements.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and supervisors to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues or delays.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, as needed, and ensure the accurate counting and inspection of freight.
• Handle paperwork and documentation associated with shipments, including bills of lading and delivery confirmations.
• Operate equipment, such as liftgates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to facilitate the loading and unloading process.

• Must hold CDL driver’s license:
  Manual – CDL A
• Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all federal and state transportation regulations.
• Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing paperwork and logs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Starting at $25.00/hour.

1st Shift, Full-time

Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:00pm. Hours are flexible, completes one stop a day and is done when returns to the shop.
