Bus Driver

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our Transportation Department as a Bus Driver. This full-time position requires a commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers while providing reliable transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a customer-oriented attitude.

• Operate a bus safely and efficiently along designated routes.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
• Assist passengers, including those with disabilities, in boarding and disembarking the bus.
• Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.
• Communicate effectively with passengers and provide information regarding routes and schedules.
• Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the appropriate authorities promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
• Attend training sessions and safety meetings as required.
• Collaborate with the Transportation Department team to improve service delivery and efficiency.

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably in a passenger transport role.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Physical ability to assist passengers and perform necessary tasks.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Clean driving record and background check.
