Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse

Join our healthcare team as a Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse, providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role includes floating to multiple facilities within a defined geographical zone, ensuring flexible and responsive support to various units.

• Dodge City, KS

• Deliver compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple specialties, including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Renal, and General Medicine.
• Monitor and manage patient care in a telemetry setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Float as needed between units, adapting to various acuity levels including ICU and Stepdown.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support clinical decisions.
• Participate in orientation and training sessions, including potential remote modules.

• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shifts.
• Expected to float within the assigned zone as required.
• 6-9 weekend shifts scheduled every six weeks.
• May be requested to rotate into holiday schedules as needed.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5-6, varying based on patient acuity levels.

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry experience within the last 3 years.
• Preferred experience in neuro conditions and familiarity with Alaris infusion systems.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.

All staff must adhere to the floating policies within the designated zone. As a critical member of the healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care and support to our patients. Flexibility and adaptability are essential qualities for success in this position.
