Job Summary
The incumbent’s goal is to lead and manage inventory planning and control activities to ensure optimal stock availability, accuracy, and cost efficiency across Mowasalat’s operations. The role focuses on demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and cross‑functional coordination to minimize stockouts and overstocking while supporting operational continuity, compliance, and business performance through data‑driven inventory planning and control.
Main Responsibilitiesh3>Inventory Planning & Demand Forecasting
- Lead and manage inventory planning activities based on historical data, demand forecasts, sales trends, and operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts to support effective stock planning and replenishment decisions.
- Analyze seasonality, consumption patterns, and operational needs to determine optimal inventory levels and minimize risks.
- Implement inventory optimization strategies to balance service levels, inventory costs, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory performance, stock levels, turnover, and aging to reduce excess, obsolete, or slow‑moving stock.
- Ensure timely sourcing and replenishment of critical materials and spare parts in coordination with procurement and OEMs.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, workshops, and OEM teams to align inventory plans with production schedules and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure inventory availability supports operational and service requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for inventory‑related planning, reporting, and coordination activities.
- Prepare and maintain inventory performance reports, including stock levels, turnover rates, and forecasting accuracy.
- Provide analytical insights and recommendations to management to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Utilize analytics to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities within inventory planning processes.
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance inventory planning efficiency, accuracy, and control.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste, improving productivity, and strengthening inventory governance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, audit requirements, and confidentiality standards related to inventory data.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience- Minimum 10 years of experience in inventory management, planning, or logistics.
- Experience with in the transportation sector or a large, reputable organization is preferred.
- GCC experience of 3–4 years in a similar role is an advantage.
Relevant supply chain or inventory certifications such as:
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Certified Inventory Manager (CIM)
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
