Role Summary
Aubay UK is seeking a Business Excellence Project Manager to support the client’s Marketing Directorate by driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and organizational performance. The Project Manager leads and coordinates strategic and operational initiatives across the end-to-end trade lifecycle, from pre-deal activities through execution and post-deal processes. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and contributes directly to transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and alignment with strategic objectives.
This position requires regular travelling and eventual relocation to the Gulf Region. Further details will be shared during the interview process.
Required Skills and Experience- Minimum 7 years of experience in commodities trading, ideally within leading IOCs, NOCs, or trading houses
- Broad, end-to-end, multi-disciplinary understanding of commodities trading, shipping, finance
- Comprehensive front-to-back trade lifecycle knowledge specialising in at least one of the following: physical trading, financial trading, shipping, portfolio optimization
- Strong hands-on process expertise, including process and data mapping and design and documentation of operational procedures
- Strong passion for technology, automation, and process improvement as key enablers of performance within a trading environment
- High energy and strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Proven ability to operate under high pressure, tight deadlines, and sensitive environments
- LNG trading experience is highly advantageous
- Assist in the development and refinement of the business and operating model, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives
- Develop deep expertise in the client’s mission, market environment, regulatory landscape, customer needs, and trading operations to inform high-quality analysis and decision-making
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through process standardization and simplification, workflow automation, structured retrospectives
- Drive efficiency, scalability, and consistency across all functions
- Contribute to the development of the Digital & Data Transformation Roadmap, supporting the client’s long-term vision
- Partner with IT to drive development of an agile delivery organization, including: defining delivery frameworks and operating principles, establishing MVP delivery criteria, clarifying boundaries between standard and bespoke solutions
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Support organizational adoption through structured change management practices
- Identify high-risk areas and critical path dependencies; develop and promote mitigation plans
- Support governance and budget reporting processes, ensuring transparency, accountability, and value tracking against defined performance indicators
- Drive identification and implementation of remedial actions related to risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure compliance with policies and delivery commitments
