Role Overview

We re seeking an ambitious Account Manager & Business Development Manager to drive growth in the MENA region from our Doha base. This hybrid role combines nurturing and expanding existing client relationships with proactive new business development across Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider GCC markets.

You'll be instrumental in positioning Chesamel s multi-pillar transformation capabilities to C-suite decision-makers, building long-term strategic partnerships, and achieving aggressive revenue targets in this high-growth region.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management (40%)

  • Own and grow a portfolio of strategic client accounts across MENA, ensuring retention rates exceed 90%
  • Develop deep understanding of client business challenges and identify cross-pillar expansion opportunities
  • Orchestrate delivery teams across Workforce, Digital, Marketing, and Sustainable Transformation pillars
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with senior client stakeholders
  • Achieve annual account growth targets of 25-40% through upselling and cross-selling
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address concerns before they escalate

Business Development (40%)

  • Generate new business pipeline targeting £2-5M annual revenue in MENA region
  • Identify and qualify prospects across key sectors (government, energy, financial services, healthcare, technology)
  • Lead Discovery Sprints and consultative sales processes from initial contact through to contract signature
  • Build C-suite relationships with decision-makers at target organisations
  • Represent Chesamel at regional conferences, industry events, and networking forums
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to prospect needs
  • Collaborate with UK/US teams on international opportunities requiring MENA presence

Operational (20%)

  • Maintain detailed pipeline tracking and forecasting in CRM (target: 90%+ accuracy)
  • Provide market intelligence on MENA trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
  • Contribute to regional GTM strategy and positioning refinement
  • Support partnership development with technology vendors (Oracle, Service Now, Anthropic, Google Cloud)
  • Mentor junior commercial team members as the Doha office scales
Essential Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years in B2B sales/business development and account management, preferably in professional services, consulting, or technology sectors
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of MENA business culture, particularly Qatar and wider GCC markets
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success closing deals £250K-£2M+ and growing existing accounts by 30%+
  • Languages: Fluent English essential;
    Arabic highly advantageous
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Location: Based in Doha with right to work in Qatar; willingness to travel across MENA region (30-40%)
