Primary Purpose of the Job
The primary purpose of the MTE team is to facilitate transformational change and associated efficiencies around market access, people, process, and systems across commercial and operating priorities. The team has overarching remits around creating and prioritizing the QET Strategic Roadmap delivery to meet the goals and vision of the department. In parallel it also balances operational change priorities to protect QET’s “licence to operate” through robust change management frameworks.
The role of the Senior Analyst (Process) is to be a ‘best in class’ change specialist supporting strategic and operational initiatives across the Trade Lifecycle from pre-deal to Settlements. The jobholder will drive the Target Operating Model (TOM), continuous improvement and ensure support to facilitate its adoption in a timely manner.
- Minimum of 8 years work experience in commodities trading with leading IOCs, trading houses, NOCs, or vendors in change, process and technology, LNG experience is an advantage.
- Strong “hands‑on” process knowledge from creating data process maps, to being operational procedures.
- Front to Back Trade Lifecycle experience. Should have a specialisation in one particular e.g. Physical Trading, Cargo Growth, Portfolio Optimisation.
- Product knowledge of Planlogic’s EOS, Veson Nautical's IMOS and SAP is an advantage, alternative tools such as Openlink, Allegro or Saleforce are preferred.
- End‑to‑end, multi‑disciplinary knowledge is required in areas such as commodities trading, shipping and Finance.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about technology and process improvement as an enabler in commodities trading.
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Practical experience of agile frameworks, PMP or Prince2 is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in numerate, Finance or Technology subject from an internationally recognised university. Postgraduate Qualification (MSc, PhD or MBA) an advantage.
