Overview
Execute end-to-end transactional procurement activities — MRO spare parts, commodities, and consumables — in full compliance with client Procurement Policies, Business Principles, and Group HSSE standards.
Key Responsibilities- Review Purchase Requisition s for specification adequacy; float enquiries and prepare RFQs with complete supporting documentation.
- Conduct techno-commercial evaluation of bids (compliance, quality, price, lead time, supplier reliability); draft commercial recommendations for client approval.
- Negotiate prices and commercial terms to secure best value; award and issue Purchase Orders.
- Manage post-award order lifecycle: expediting, irregularity resolution, claims handling, and payment facilitation.
- Coordinate logistics, customs clearance, and statutory approvals (Customs, Environment, Civil Defense, ICT) with the client clearance team and contractors.
- Maintain and develop supplier base: evaluate performance, convert single-source to multi-source, pursue market intelligence for new qualified suppliers.
- Support fortnightly/monthly/quarterly reporting; manage audit files; participate in company-mandated training.
- Uphold Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Protocols, and exemplary HSSE behavior at all times.
Reports to Client Supply Chain Supervisors. Works with limited supervision. Interfaces with internal end-users, logistics providers, and external vendors.
Profile Education & Experience- Diploma in Engineering or BSc/BCom from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years procurement / supply management experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain or Business Administration (e.g. CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
- Minimum level of experience required: 6 years or more.
- Full command of the procurement cycle: RFQ, bid evaluation, negotiation, PO award, expediting, and closeout.
- Solid knowledge of Incoterms, commercial/legal contractual terms, logistics, and international trade insurance.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA and/or SAP Ariba; comfortable with MS 365 and standard Office tools.
- In-depth understanding of MRO product specifications; ability to identify and propose alternatives.
- Awareness of current purchasing policies, market conditions, and best-practice procurement standards.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; cost-conscious mindset.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines, including annual plant shutdown campaigns and emergency requirements.
- Team player with high integrity, effective business English communication (written and verbal), and cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Committed to HSSE principles and responsible business behaviour.
