Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and practical training on firefighting techniques and emergency response in line with industry standards e g NFPA
  • Develop and implement fire training programs for operational and emergency response personnel
  • Conduct fire drills, simulations and live fire exercises to enhance preparedness
  • Provide hands‑on instruction on the operation and maintenance of firefighting equipment and apparatus
  • Assess trainees competency levels and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement
  • Support the development of emergency response procedures and safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements and international best practices
  • Maintain training records, assessment reports and documentation
  • Promote a strong safety culture and best practices across all training activities
  • Mentor and coach personnel to build leadership and response capabilities
Qualifications
  • Diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from an internationally recognized institution
  • Graduate of The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or equivalent
  • Qualified Fire Service Instructor (NFPA 1401 or equivalent certification)
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in fire operations
  • At least 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role (Station Officer or higher)
  • Proven experience in fire training, preferably within oil, gas, or petrochemical industry emergency response
  • Strong knowledge of industrial firefighting systems, equipment, and emergency response strategies
  • Intermediate English proficiency (QP Level 6 or equivalent), both written and spoken
  • Ability to operate and instruct on a wide range of firefighting equipment and systems
  • Competency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of NFPA standards and emergency response frameworks
  • Valid driving license (Heavy Vehicle preferred)
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making ability
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence and lead teams in high‑pressure environments
  • Well‑organized with strong planning capabilities
