Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical training on firefighting techniques and emergency response in line with industry standards e g NFPA
- Develop and implement fire training programs for operational and emergency response personnel
- Conduct fire drills, simulations and live fire exercises to enhance preparedness
- Provide hands‑on instruction on the operation and maintenance of firefighting equipment and apparatus
- Assess trainees competency levels and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement
- Support the development of emergency response procedures and safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements and international best practices
- Maintain training records, assessment reports and documentation
- Promote a strong safety culture and best practices across all training activities
- Mentor and coach personnel to build leadership and response capabilities
- Diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from an internationally recognized institution
- Graduate of The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or equivalent
- Qualified Fire Service Instructor (NFPA 1401 or equivalent certification)
- Minimum 12 years of experience in fire operations
- At least 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role (Station Officer or higher)
- Proven experience in fire training, preferably within oil, gas, or petrochemical industry emergency response
- Strong knowledge of industrial firefighting systems, equipment, and emergency response strategies
- Intermediate English proficiency (QP Level 6 or equivalent), both written and spoken
- Ability to operate and instruct on a wide range of firefighting equipment and systems
- Competency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of NFPA standards and emergency response frameworks
- Valid driving license (Heavy Vehicle preferred)
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making ability
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence and lead teams in high‑pressure environments
- Well‑organized with strong planning capabilities
