Position: Junior Buyer (procurement) - 12 Months

Junior Buyer Job Responsibilities (12 Months Contract)

Manage procurement goods, materials, and services to ensure that the operational needs are met (considering price, quality, on-time delivery) as well as continuity of supply.

Processes incoming customer requests (workflow transactions, purchase requisitions, email requests, etc.) ensuring agreed cycle time and quality standards while maintaining high Customer/user satisfaction.

Process purchase requisitions promptly and accurately to support business needs.

Proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding quotations, product availability, and order status updates.

Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), collect and organize supplier quotations.

Evaluate and compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, and delivery terms, supporting the selection process.

Assist in negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and support the onboarding process for new vendors.

Address and resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery delays, shortages and quality discrepancies.

Monitor order status and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures and ethical standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.

Support inventory planning activities to ensure material availability as required.

Identify and recommend cost‑saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.

Track and report on supplier performance and delivery reliability.

Assist in spend analysis and reporting activities.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and workflows.

Maintains and updates supplier master data to ensure that the database accurate and up to date.

Monitors supplier delivery and quality performance. Escalates findings to relevant stakeholders and addresses performance issues with suppliers as necessary.

Other requirements

Knowledge and experience of SAP, Ariba, Procurement tools (will be an advantage)

Microsoft skills (excel, word processing, PP)

Year of

Experience:

4-7 years.

Academics: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in technical/commercial or other education

Visa status:
Transferable visa / NOC available

Available in Qatar

Joining time: max 30 days notice period
