Job Description
This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) systems to create a safe, sustainable, and efficient work environment. This includes ensuring employee well‑being, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in operational and environmental standards while collaborating with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and quality aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities Strategic- Develop and implement HSEQ policies and frameworks that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
- Establish and drive sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and promote resource efficiency.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for HSEQ compliance and improvements.
- Collaborate with senior management to embed a culture of continuous improvement in safety, quality, and environmental practices.
- Ensure alignment with ISO standards and other regulatory frameworks to uphold certifications and audit readiness.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments to optimize employee workstations and prevent musculoskeletal issues.
- Organize wellness programs focused on mental health, stress management, and overall well‑being.
- Facilitate health checkups, vaccination drives, and first‑aid training to promote workplace health.
- Perform regular risk assessments and audits to identify workplace hazards.
- Oversee fire safety measures, including the maintenance of extinguishers, alarms, and evacuation plans.
- Conduct fire drills and emergency response training to enhance readiness.
- Ensure proper management of office equipment and safety protocols to prevent accidents.
- Implement energy‑saving initiatives such as LED lighting, motion sensors, and waste reduction programs.
- Drive waste segregation and recycling efforts for paper, plastics, e‑waste, and hazardous materials.
- Monitor and optimize resource consumption (electricity, water) to align with sustainability goals.
- Promote paperless practices and other eco‑friendly alternatives in daily office operations.
- Conduct internal quality audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant frameworks.
- Identify process gaps and inefficiencies, recommending solutions for continuous improvement.
- Develop quality assurance metrics to monitor and enhance operational and service delivery standards.
- Maintain and update documentation related to HSEQ policies, audits, and compliance.
- Coordinate training programs for employees to enhance awareness and adherence to quality systems.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Admin & Facilities Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Management, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Certification in HSEQ is highly preferred.
Minimum experience of 5‑8 years in HSEQ roles, ideally in office or corporate environments.
- Proven expertise in implementing HSEQ policies and managing safety and sustainability programs.
- Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with safety‑related tools/software.
