This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Specialist role based in Doha, Qatar. The specialist will focus on identifying new business opportunities, driving lead generation, and building a strong sales pipeline within the logistics and freight forwarding sector. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing trade lanes and customer segments, and preparing proposals and presentations tailored to client needs. The role involves engaging with prospective and existing clients, managing relationships, providing responsive customer service, and coordinating closely with operations and pricing teams to ensure competitive and accurate solutions.
The specialist will also track performance metrics, contribute to sales forecasts, and support continuous improvement of business development processes and strategies.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with clients, collaborate with internal teams, and deliver clear presentations.
- Candidates should possess Lead Generation skills, including prospecting, pipeline management, and follow-up to convert opportunities into sustainable business.
- Candidates should possess Market Research capabilities to assess industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in regional and global logistics markets.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide professional, timely support, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain solutions, in Qatar.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in business development and sales.
- Ability to work independently, meet targets, and collaborate effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
