Job Description – Contracts Management Consultant Position Details

Job Title: Contracts Management Consultant
Department: Contracts / Administration
Reporting To: Head of Contracts / Operations Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Contracts Management Consultant is responsible for managing and administering service contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring contractual compliance, monitoring contractor performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and maintaining effective vendor relationships. The role supports procurement, operations, and management by ensuring contract obligations are fulfilled, risks are minimized, and accurate contract documentation and performance reports are maintained.

Key Responsibilities Contract Management
  • Administer and manage service contracts from award through completion.
  • Review contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Monitor contract deliverables, milestones, renewals, amendments, and close-out activities.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, documentation, and correspondence.
Contractor Performance Management
  • Monitor contractor performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify areas requiring corrective action.
  • Coordinate with contractors to resolve contractual issues and performance gaps.
  • Ensure contractors comply with contractual obligations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing contract documentation and evidence of compliance.
  • Monitor contract variations, claims, and change requests.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain effective working relationships with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in contract negotiations, meetings, and performance review sessions.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, legal, and operational departments regarding contract matters.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare periodic contract performance reports and management dashboards.
  • Track contract expenditures, timelines, and compliance status.
  • Develop reports on contractor performance, contract utilization, and service quality.
  • Maintain contract databases and document management systems.
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in contract management, contract administration, procurement, or related functions.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Experience managing service contracts and contractor performance in large organizations is preferred.
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration principles.
  • Experience in Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring.
  • Vendor and contractor management expertise.
  • Contract compliance and risk management knowledge.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong report writing and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Language Requirements
  • Arabic: Preferred
