Role DescriptionThe Founding Country Lead - Qatar is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar, responsible for establishing and leading the company's operations in the country. This role involves developing and executing a country strategy, including market analysis, business planning, and local partnership development. The Country Lead will oversee day-to-day operations, build and manage a local team, and ensure that business activities comply with local regulations and align with company standards.
The role includes cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, such as clients, government entities, and strategic partners, and representing the company in external meetings and events. The Founding Country Lead will also monitor performance, manage budgets, report on progress to global leadership, and continuously identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Proven experience in country leadership, general management, or establishing new operations in a regional or international context.
- Strong skills in strategic planning, business development, and stakeholder management, with the ability to build and maintain high-impact partnerships.
- Demonstrated capability in operational management, including team leadership, budgeting, process design, and performance tracking.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with fluency in English;
Arabic proficiency is highly beneficial. - Deep understanding of the business environment in Qatar and familiarity with local regulations, cultural norms, and market dynamics.
- Ability to work independently, make data-informed decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
- High level of integrity, adaptability, and commitment to building inclusive, diverse, and non-discriminatory workplaces.
