Senior Motions Graphics Editor
The Senior Motion Graphics Editor is responsible for cutting and editing film footage until it meets a director’s approval, rearranging and splicing scenes that have already been shot, determining if scenes need to be reshot, and inserting music, sound, or optical effects. Using industry-standard computer programs, they create high-quality animated two- and three-dimensional visuals, combining video and animation to give the impression of motion and action through changing images.
Content is produced for a range of media including internet, television, film, and digital platforms.
This position is an Edge Picture Company role embedded within a client’s headquarters, working day-to-day inside the client’s in-house media team. The Senior Motion Graphics Specialist will represent The Edge on-site, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and reporting into the client’s media leadership, while upholding The Edge’s creative, technical, and professional standards at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Edit film and video content to meet director and client specifications
- Create high-quality 2D and 3D motion graphics and animations for a variety of platforms including broadcast, digital, and social
- Combine video, animation, sound, and visual effects to create engaging and polished content
- Watch and assess raw footage, determining the strongest shots and sequences for final edits
- Rearrange, reorder, and refine scenes to ensure logical sequencing and smooth narrative flow
- Work with raw camera footage, dialogue, music, sound effects, graphics, and optical effects
- Determine appropriate camera angles, pacing, and transitions
- Insert music, sound design, and visual effects where required
- Produce edit decision lists and manage versioning throughout post-production
- Work closely with directors, producers, and clients to achieve the desired creative outcome
- Be proactive in offering creative solutions and improvements
- Act with diplomacy and tact at all times when working with the Comms teams and other entities
- Be available and responsive to ensure client needs are consistently met
- Use non-linear editing systems to manage projects from ingest to final delivery
- Maintain clear and structured project organisation, including folder structures, files, and assets
- Ensure edits are technically compliant with delivery specifications
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- 4–6+ years’ experience in film editing and motion graphics across a range of projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in film, Television, Media, Arts, or a related field.
- Strong experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro), Avid, and/or Final Cut Pro.
- Experience creating motion graphics for commercials, corporate films, broadcast content, and social media.
- GCC and/or MENA experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients.
