Senior Producer Debates

Doha Debates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Producer to drive our speaker and talent pipeline across debate shows, town halls, podcasts, and digital formats. In this role, you’ll act as the editorial and operational bridge between our strategic vision and on‑air execution — ensuring every guest, segment, and conversation aligns with our mission and delivers impact.

You’ll work across platforms including studio/television, live broadcast, and pod/vodcast production. This role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, editorial judgment, and the ability to shape meaningful conversations with global thought leaders.

Working closely with the Executive Producer of Talent & Speakers and collaborating across editorial and production teams, you’ll help identify and elevate the voices that bring Doha Debates to life.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Research & Talent Discovery

• Source, evaluate, and curate guest leads aligned with our editorial focus, tone, and strategic priorities.
• Maintain a dynamic, organized database of potential speakers, ensuring diversity, strong expertise, and global representation.

Pre‑Interviewing & Editorial Prep

• Conduct thorough pre‑interviews to refine talking points and shape compelling segments for live and digital shows.
• Ensure guests are fully briefed on themes, tone, and key issues to deliver insightful, coherent contributions.
• Prepare moderators and hosts with comprehensive briefings, backgrounders, and suggested lines of questioning.
• Anticipate discussion dynamics to help moderators navigate live exchanges confidently and responsibly.

Outreach & Relationship Building

• Support the Executive Producer in building and maintaining relationships with high-profile guests, institutions, agents, and talent representatives.
• Represent Doha Debates professionally in all outreach engagements.

Production Coordination & Logistics

• Work closely with producers and event managers to align travel, scheduling, and technical needs with editorial goals.
• Provide on‑site or remote support during live and recorded events to ensure a seamless guest experience and smooth production flow.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Senior Producer or Interview Producer in media, news, or digital storytelling.
• Strong understanding of TV and digital production with a sharp sense of what makes conversations engaging and impactful.
• Proficiency with Air Table, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to operate under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Arabic proficiency and regional familiarity are a plus.
