As our Al Jazeera Media Network's award-winning international English news channel continues to grow, we’re expanding our newsroom leadership team.
We are seeking an Executive Producer with energy, editorial sharpness, and strong newsroom instincts to work at the heart of Al Jazeera’s 24/7 global newsroom.
You’ll collaborate closely with world-class journalists to shape coverage, uphold Al Jazeera’s editorial standards, and deliver impactful journalism to audiences around the world.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead from the front at one of the world’s most respected news brands, in a high-profile, fast-moving newsroom with a truly global reach.
You would be responsible for coming up with fresh coverage ideas for on-the-day news, making sure stories in news bulletins are accurate, objective and in line with the editorial standards of A Jazeera English.
You will have:
- At least 10 years of working in a newsroom
- At least 5 years leading a team of journalists
- At least 3 years of working in an international news environment
- Experience working in a gallery/control room
- Able to make quick decisions under pressure
- Ability to work across different shift timings
- Ability to mentor and give constructive feedback when needed
- Diligence under pressure and ability to act quickly during breaking news
