Librarian - Indian Nationals (Contract)

We are a reputable educational institution based in Doha, seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team. As an Indian national, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and vibrant environment while utilizing your expertise in library management.

• Manage library resources, including books, periodicals, and digital materials
• Develop and implement library policies and procedures
• Catalogue and classify new materials using appropriate systems
• Assist students and faculty with research inquiries and provide guidance on information literacy
• Plan and organize events to promote the use of the library
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate information literacy skills into lesson plans
• Maintain accurate records of library inventory, circulation data, and user statistics
• Train and supervise library staff as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Librarian
• Knowledge of cataloging systems, metadata standards, and information retrieval tools
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

This is a contract position with a salary of $900 per month. We offer flexible working hours but require candidates to have their own valid visa. Accommodation will not be provided.
