Overview
To perform Cash Management function to ensure all payment requests are funded timeously and excess liquidity is invested to maximize returns.
Principal Accountabilities- Ensure all payment requests are funded timeously.
- Monitor cash balances and transfers on a daily basis.
- Prepare Daily Cash Position and Monthly Cash Forecast reports.
- Actively coordinate and communicate with management of JVs, Subsidiaries and QP Divisions & Departments to ensure timely provision of data for the Monthly Cash Flow Forecast.
- Initiate, propose and execute strategies to further automate the Cash Management function.
- Before funding, ensure that the appropriate approval in the form of signed Memo, Board Resolutions, Agreements, etc is in place.
- Optimize intercompany funding and lending activities and make recommendations on optimal funding mechanism.
- Assess Treasury market risk, counter party exposure, policy compliance, budgeting, and management reporting; manage the overall counter party limits on the Financial Instruments of the Group; generate report of the Financial Instruments on a regular basis; monitor and action items per covenants on a timely basis.
- Prepare an analysis of the Cash balances and movement per entity on a weekly basis and propose investment of excess cash.
- Coordinate with Treasury Back Office (BO) to process transfer and FD and FX instructions.
- At least 10–15 years of experience in a medium to large organization with adequate exposure to accounting & finance functions; previous experience in a similar capacity in an oil and gas industry would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of systems in a computerized business environment, including MS Office packages, SAP or other advanced ERP systems.
- Excellent people management, leadership, and coaching skills.
- Bachelor's in Finance/Commerce/Business/Accounting and globally accepted professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, etc.
