IFRS 9 ECL Professional

We are looking for an experienced IFRS 9 ECL professional for a banking project. The candidate will support Expected Credit Loss assessment, financial reporting, audit-related requirements, and IFRS 9 compliance activities.

• Support IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss calculation, review, and reporting activities.
• Analyze credit risk data, impairment models, and ECL-related assumptions.
• Review staging, PD, LGD, EAD, macroeconomic overlays, and model outputs.
• Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, finance, risk, and compliance departments.
• Ensure IFRS 9 calculations and reports are aligned with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare documentation, working papers, schedules, and audit support files.
• Identify gaps, validate data accuracy, and recommend process improvements.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, or project-based financial reporting requirements.

• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in banking, audit, finance, or credit risk.
• Strong hands‑on experience in IFRS 9 – Expected Credit Loss (ECL).
• Prior audit experience is mandatory

• Strong knowledge of banking financial reporting and impairment assessment.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid Qatar Residency Permit.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
