Tax Policy - Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on the development of tax policy by reference to best practice and regulatory trends internationally
• Support tax and revenue administrations in effectively implementing tax and revenue policies
• Support governments with their strategy and engagement on international tax initiatives
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams – legal, finance, economics, public policy – to deliver integrated solutions
• Prepare and present insights in a clear and compelling manner

• Build strong client relationships
• Communicate excellently in a range of situations, both written and oral English
• Identify areas of risk, carry out effective reviews, and know when to refer upwards
• Act as a client‑focused, commercially aware team player capable of building effective relationships at all levels
• Possess project management skills: plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, and monitor own budget
• Solve problems creatively and pragmatically

• A degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting
• At least five years of relevant experience as a tax professional
• Experience working for a Big4 accounting firm is preferred, though candidates from governmental entities or international firms will also be considered
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax rules and tax authority practices
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and interact with senior stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including drafting technical memos and policy papers
