As a Manager of Business Support and Financial Control, you will lead financial planning and performance reporting for Qatar Airways business units. Your focus will be on evaluating resource allocation, improving budget accuracy, supporting internal decision‑making with insightful analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal financial systems and policies. This position requires strong leadership, financial modeling, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Develop strong partnerships with business leaders to guide financial decisions and strategic initiatives
• Evaluate and challenge project proposals, emphasizing value, risk, and feasibility before approvals
• Monitor revenue and expenditure variances, ensuring alignment with the approved budget
• Lead monthly KPI analysis and reporting for business stakeholders and senior management
• Manage quarterly rolling forecasts and present key findings to decision‑makers
• Analyze actuals vs. budget, offering insights to improve financial performance
• Oversee budget development, review commercial contracts, and advise on financial risks
• Deliver scenario‑based analysis, cost optimization strategies, and insights into resource allocation
• Prepare reports for the Cost Management Committee and conduct post‑spend evaluations for capital projects
• Ensure inventory levels and ordering processes align with operational and financial plans
• Lead and mentor a team to support departmental financial operations and reporting

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in financial control, planning, or business analysis
• Strong knowledge of cost center accounting, budgeting, and forecasting practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle Financials, and internal finance systems
• Advanced financial modeling and variance analysis skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Experience handling confidential financial information and high-volume reporting
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, delegate work, and develop talent
• Ability to work across multiple reporting lines and deliver under tight deadlines
• Commercial acumen and the ability to interpret data into actionable business insight
