- Present an objective view of financial performance and provide sound recommendations for efficient resource allocation
- Monitor monthly expenditure variances and ensure alignment with approved budgets and plans
- Lead investigations into significant variances and implement corrective control actions
- Manage the preparation, execution, and analysis of budgets and rolling forecasts
- Develop structured business cases for proposed projects, including investment costs, benefits, risks, dependencies, and strategic alignment
- Drive a value‑focused culture for evaluating projects based on priority, risk, and return
- Evaluate opportunities, risks, and efficiencies through detailed financial analysis
- Report on KPI performance for assigned departments and business units
- Review internal controls and recommend enhancements to improve governance and efficiency
- Present business cases to the Cost Management Committee and senior stakeholders
- Enhance costing processes, systems, and automation initiatives
- Draft and review policies, SOPs, and internal accounting procedures within assigned timelines
- Conduct regular cost centre reviews with department heads and present financial performance updates
- Review balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly financial schedules
- Lead, coach, and develop finance team members, including graduate nationals under development programs
- Support internal and external audits within required turnaround times
- Manage inventory reviews and investigate discrepancies with root cause analysis
- Ensure timely capitalization of completed projects with full documentation and reconciliation
- Respond to routine and ad‑hoc requests from senior and executive management
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant finance experience
- Proven experience working to tight internal reporting deadlines
- Strong expertise in costing methodologies and cost reduction techniques
- Experience improving financial systems, processes, and operational controls
- Solid knowledge of cost centre accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong analytical ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across the organization
- High level of organizational capability, multitasking, and priority management
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial records and sensitive information
