Position Overview

Qatar Airways Group is seeking a Lead Internal Auditor in Doha, Qatar to support the delivery of independent, risk-based internal audits across the Group. This role plays a key part in strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks while acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders and senior stakeholders.

• Support the enhancement of internal audit methodologies to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness
• Assist the line manager in delivering audits aligned with Internal Audit strategy and Qatar Airways Group objectives
• Lead or support assigned audits and projects in line with annual and multi-year risk-based audit plans
• Identify key business and operational risks and assess the adequacy of governance and internal controls
• Execute audits in compliance with Global Internal Audit Standards ensuring measurable value addition
• Deliver audit assignments within approved timelines, budgets, and methodologies
• Provide advisory support to management on improving internal controls, governance, and risk management practices
• Maintain strong working relationships with operational management as a trusted audit partner
• Support follow-up reviews and ensure timely closure of audit findings and recommendations
• Contribute to unplanned audit assignments and emerging risk assessments as required
• Support preparation of reports for the Board Audit Risk and Compliance Committee
• Manage time effectively to ensure successful completion of audit engagements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 4 years of audit experience in internal audit, external audit, consulting, or large corporate environments
• Experience in airline, aviation, or multinational organizations is an advantage

• Strong knowledge of internal audit practices, governance, and risk management
• Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, CIA, CFE, CISA or similar preferred
• ISO 27001 knowledge or certification preferred
• Advanced data analytics capability with mandatory experience in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
